The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has relocated under its custody 29 motor vehicles and 35 motorcycles seized during anti-drug operations from PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte City (SJDMC), Bulacan starting Monday, May 7, 2018.
“All 64 non-drug evidence vehicles (NDEVs) being held for PDEA’s safekeeping has found a new shelter in a 1,000-square meter parcel of land in SJDMC, Bulacan through the generosity of Mayor Arthur B. Robes,” PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino said, adding that the facility is a controlled environment where it can safely store NDEVs and avoid tampering.
On November 9, 2017, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between PDEA and the local government of SJDMC paving the way for the donation of the lot, which will also be utilized in putting up a K9 facility for the training and breeding of the Agency’s narcotic detection dogs (NDDs).
The vacated space left by the NDEVs inside the PDEA premises will be used to construct a four-storey building with parking spaces.
