BULACAN — The Casita Pagasa Inc. Home for the Children through the UP Beta Sigma Fraternity outreach program have conducted a free medical and dental mission for indigenous residents of Barangay Mahabang Parang in Sta. Maria, Bulacan on Friday.
The said orphanage through the initiative of its chairman Dr. Gine Reyes and directors Pastor Rod Reyes and Pastor Paul Chua, the UP Beta Sigma’s annual anniversary free medical mission was successfully conducted in the said barangay.
Pastor Reyes said beneficiaries were underprivileged indigent residents of Barangay Mahabang Parang. Kapitan Larry Villacorte together with other barangay officials and staffs assisted in the medical and dental mission..
Beta Sigma celebrated its 72nd founding anniversary on Saturday and through the request of the orphanage’s board of directors, they decided to conduct their annual free medical mission program in Bulacan for the first time in this province.
The joint medical and dental mission initiated by the said fraternity group and Casita orphanage also dubbed as “Wellness Outreach Medical Mission” has served more than 120 beneficiaries.
Other free services offered during the community health service are: medical consultations administered by Dr. Buddy Quililan, pedia, optical, free haircut with free wellness kits donated by UP Beta Sigma Southern California Chapter, USA.
For his part, Villacorte extended his heartfelt gratitude to Beta Sigma Fraternity and Casita Pagasa for bringing their community service program in their barangay. –ELOISA SILVERIO
