CLARK FREEPORT – A 19-year-old lass from Tarlac City was named grand winner of the Miss Midori Clark 2018.
Jasmine Omay bested 21 other candidates in the beauty pageant held on August 5 at Fiesta Hall of the Midori Hotel and Casino. Her advocacy
is environmental awareness.
Omay won a cash prize of P300,000 and P790,000 worth of full private pilot license course from the Omni Aviation Corporation.
“My advocacy is about environmental awareness. Knowing and fully understanding the current state of our environment is very important
in this day and age,” said Omay, who is a freelance model. “We know that technology is constantly developing and it is becoming the number
one focus when it comes to preparing for the future.”
“However, we should never lose sight of the fact that if we don’t take care of our earth and our environment now, there will no future for
all of us,” added Omay who plays the violin and guitar.
Irineo “Bong” Alvaro, top honcho of Midori and the chairman of the board of judges, said “we made a wave.”
“This is a very successful event,” he added.
Emma Mary Tiglao of Mabalacat City was 1st runner-up, She won P200,000.
Elaira Dee Alzona of Olongapo City was 2nd runner-up. She got P100,000.
Christine Juliane Opiaza of Olongapo city was 3rd runner-up, while Anie Uson of Tarlac City was 4th runner-up. They both P20,000 each.
