TARLAC CITY — A total of 415 pupils of Alunan and Tarukan Elementary Schools in Capas benefitted from the Project Shoebox of the the Army Artillery Regiment (AAR) and Aboitiz Foundation Inc.
With the theme “Shoebox Ko Kinabukasan Mo”, each student received a shoebox that contains school supplies and hygiene kits.
“Project Shoebox aims to extend help to students from far-flung areas and inspire them in striving more for their education,” AAR Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operations Lieutenant Colonel Rommel B. Lazaro said.
In behalf of the beneficiaries, Alunan Elementary School Principal Noel M. Mariano thanked the efforts of the soldiers and its stakeholders for the educational packages.
Prior to Tarlac, a similar activity was held in Nueva Ecija and Pangasinan.
