ORANI, Bataan – Barangay Mulawin village chief Marvin Dela Cruz said several CCTV cameras were installed within the vicinity of the Barangay Hall.
Dela Cruz said he is planning to add more CCTV cameras in all major streets of his village.
“Kapag may sapat na budget na tayo lalagyan natin ng at least 22 CCTV cameras lalo na yung mga blind spots areas dito,” Dela Cruz said.
Recently, Dela Cruz, a first-termer village chief, enforced a major clean-up and no parking policy along their major roads. His initiatives inspired other village chiefs in the said municipality that reportedly resulted to smooth flow of traffic inside barangay roads.
Mulawin, Dela Cruz added, also has their 1,200 square meters of private lot being developed as parking area beside their covered court in front of their barangay hall.
“The new CCTV system initially serves as the ’24-hour eyes’ all over the village hall vicinity and parking areas,” he added.
Dela Cruz, also a well established businessman engaged in hauling and trucking industry, said he is also studying to replicate a local ordinance in the Municipality of Hermosa requiring all business establishments to have CCTV systems.
