Hermosa crime rate down by 11pc since 2016

HERMOSA, Bataan- Municipal Mayor Antonio Joseph “Jopet” Inton on Monday awarded a certificate of recognition to the chief of police of Hermosa PNP.

The simple rites were done after the traditional flag-raising ceremony at the Hermosa Plaza with the local government officials and employees along with other concerned government agencies.

The certificate was given by Inton to Police Senior Inspector Phoe G. Pangan Jr. for “his selfless dedication and commitment to the greater public good and his invaluable services in promoting peace and safety to this (Hermosa) Municipality.”

“The people of Hermosa extend their grateful appreciationfor his demonstration of service above self and excellence in his profession,” Inton said.

Recently, the Hermosa Municipal Police headed by officer in charge, chief of police, Police Senior Inspector Phoe Pangan Jr. reported an 11.04 percent drop in crime rate since the year 2016.

From 58.68% from July to December 2016, it is now presently 47.64% from January to October of this year.

The local police also reported 12 drug cleared barangays, 763 number of drugs surrenderers and 311 graduates from the local “Bahay Pagbabago” or drug rehabilitation center.
