Holy Trinity General Hospital opens ICU, NICU

ARAYAT, PAMPANGA – Pampanga Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda led the opening of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) facilities of Holy Trinity General Hospital in Barangay Plazang Luma in this town on October 23, Wednesday.

Also present in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Arayat Mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino, Arayat Vice Mayor Sixto Mallari, Former Magalang Mayor Malu Lacson, Sta. Ana Mayor Norberto Gamboa, and San Luis Mayor Jayson Sagum.

Dr. Sheila Samson, medical director, said that the launching of the ICU and NICU is a big step forward in catering the needs of the patients since the hospital was the first in the eastern part of Pampanga to launch the said services.

Samson said, “Before, most of the patients who have to be admitted in ICU are being transferred to San Fernando. That’s why the people are clamoring for such kind of hospital services.”

“If services are available here in Arayat, people could save their time and money because they don’t have to travel far,” she added.

In addition, Samson also shared that the hospital has applied for affiliation with the provincial government through Governor Pineda in catering the medical needs of indigent patients.

Samson remarked, “We are happy to have partnered with Gov. Dennis Pineda in extending healthcare services to the people.”

The Holy Trinity General Hospital has served thousands of patients since its opening in 1998. Currently, internal medicine, pulmonology, cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, general and pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, ob-gyne, and rehabilitation medicine are available in the hospital.

Furthermore, the hospital also caters laboratory, 3D and 4D ultrasound, X-ray, CT-Scan, colonoscopy, endoscopy, pharmacy, drug testing, TB DOTS, eye center, and HMO services.
