More than 1000 Fernandino college scholars who are beneficiaries of the Educational Scholarship Assistance Program (ESAP) received cash grants on November 13, 2019 at the Heroes Hall.
Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago led the ceremonial distribution of grants to scholars coming from the capital city’s 35 barangays.
The cash grants are categorized based on students’ general average of grades.
During his speech, Santiago lauded the sacrifices and efforts of the scholars and encouraged them to always aim for excellence as this will lead them to a brighter future.
“I always say na aim for excellence. Why?
He vowed that the local government will continue its programs on education as “no one will be left behind in the City of San Fernando.”
