Miss Midori 2018 1st runner up Emma Mary Tiglao will be leaving for Egypt for a historic back-to-back victory for the Philippines at the Miss Intercontinental 2019 happening this December 21 in Egypt.
She will be representing the country next to Karen Gallman’s big win in 2018.
When asked what pushes her to never stop trying, Tiglao said: “Always remember the reason why you started.”
Tiglao attended the send-off party at Baccus Lounge, Midori Clark Hotel and Casino on Sunday evening.
The get-together event spearheaded by Midori was attended by her family, ‘Emmazonas’, mentor and friends.
Granting Emma’s wish, the Anak Bale-Balayan were present to cheer for the beauty queen. Anak Bale-Balayan, who are ‘very close’ to her heart, is a group of underprivileged children in Angeles City who stages cultural performances using indigenous musical instruments. She has been helping the foundation since her early years in pageantry.
Emma has been turning heads since 2009. She was Miss World 2015 4th runner up, Binibining Pilipinas 2014 (Top 15) and Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012 1st runner up.
This year, her comeback in Binibini made her won two special awards – the Miss Pizza Hut award and the Pitoy Moreno Best in National Costume for her outfit ‘Fe Esperanza Caridad’ designed by Rich Sabinian with the help of Angeles City Jail inmates.
Now on her 10th year in the pageant industry, the Mabalacat City lass is set to fire-up the stage with the ‘real Emma’ – to bring home the coveted crown and fulfill her given purpose.
Meanwhile, she thanked the Midori family for helping her regain confidence during the Miss Midori journey.
“She is a kind and respectful lady. A queen who never demanded to be treated like a queen,” Midori MVIP Manager Maria Fatima Louise Maneja highlighted.
