HERMOSA, BATAAN – An early morning fire burns down a balut (boiled fertilized duck egg) factory in Barangay Mabuco in this first-class town, Thursday.
Hermosa PNP Chief Major Jeffrey Onde told iOrbitNews that the balut factory is owned by former Hermosa Municipal Mayor Nelson “Dakila” Cruz, 61.
Major Onde said that the fire started at around 6 a.m. inside a warehouse where the balut is being cooked.
The fire was declared fire-out after fire trucks from other municipalities responded.
The Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP) is still investigating the fire as of press time. No one was hurt from the incident.
