The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) launched the Anti-Littering Ordinance KALIGKASAN (Kaligtasan at Kalikasan), Salaam Desk and Family Juvenile Gender and Development Section in collaboration with the Provincial Government at Victory Church, Brgy. Sumapang Bata in the City of Malolos on Tuesday.
According to P/Col. Emma M. Libunao, Acting Bulacan Provincial Director, the projects will serve as avenues to raise awareness among Bulakenyos so they can coordinate directly with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in all law enforcement, security, and safety-related concerns, involving the environment, family, gender awareness, and the Salaam community.
“The concept of Provincial Ordinance No. 27-2017 or the Ordinance Prohibiting Littering & Scattering in the Province of Bulacan and Creating the Bulacan Anti-Littering Monitoring Enforcer for its implementation coincides with one of the six priority projects of Brig. Gen. Rhodel O. Sermonia, Regional Director, PRO3 dubbed as Kaligtasan ng Kalikasan (Kaligkasan) which endeavours’ the strategic management on environmental protection and preservation as well as security of tourist destinations through organization and mobilization of Kaligkasan volunteers who will serve as eco-warriors,” Libunao added.
Likewise, P/Major General Benigno B. Durana Jr., Director, Police Community Relations served as Guest of Honor and Speaker said the creation of Salaam Desk and FJGAD Desk, is the first in whole of Region 3, this initiative of Col. Libunao has an objective of providing frontline services with systematic procedure for public concerns, particularly Bulakenyos in addressing the needs of Muslim communities to counter terrorism and lawless violence and concerns/matters relative to Family, Children and Gender issues.
For his part, Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando congratulated Libunao and the whole police force of the province for launching the three projects that will benefit the Bulakenyos.
