The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday has announced the first Filipino recovery recorded in the country.
Case 14, a 46-year male and Pasay resident, was admitted to Makati Medical Center on March 5 and has tested positive for coronavirus disease on March 9.
Reports say he manifested COVID-19 symptoms on February 5.
He was discharged from the hospital after he tested negative of the disease twice.
Meanwhile Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said the development is not a reason to be complacent. The public is advised to cooperate with DOH.
As of press time, COVID-19 fatalities in the country remain at 12.
