The Bulacan Provincial Health Office announced on Tuesday the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the province rose to eight including two deaths.
Dr. Jocelyn Gomez, Bulacan provincial health officer, said the latest case is a Filipino male engineer from the City of Malolos and allegedly worked at the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Metro Manila.
Gomez said they had started conducting contact-tracing involving the man’s families and those who he met before he was confined first in Sacred Heart Hospital and transfered yesterday to a hospital in Manila.
As of Tuesday, PHO records showed that Bulacan has now eight Covid-19 cases, two deaths, a father and son from San Ildefonso, two in Malolos, two in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Mayor Ferdie Estrella of Baliwag and one in Guiguinto town.The province has also 203 cases of persons under investigation (PUIs) and 666 persons under monitoring (PUMs), Bulacan PHO said.
