Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año highlighted that extending the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon region would badly affect the country’s economy.
Año released this statement after the Department of Heath said the quarantine may be extended until May as the number of confirmed coronavirus patients increased.
As more testing kits will be made available to the public, the number of cases is expected to rise.
