Clark locators donate PPEs to frontliners

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Pampanga — Clark locators donated personal protective equipment (PPEs) to workers in the frontline in the battle against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA), under its  “Help Us Help our Frontliners” campaign, was able to source out protective suits and other essential supplies that will help ensure the safety of healthcare providers in Pampanga.

“The donated materials which include N95 masks, face shields, gloves, protective suits, goggles, shoe covers, alcohol and disinfectants are being distributed initially to Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in the City of San Fernando and Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center in Angeles City,” CILA Chairperson Irineo Alvaro said.

Some of the locators who extended help and efforts are Yokohama Tires Philippines, Inc., Aderans, Amertron Inc., SMK Electronics and Midori Hotel and Casino.

“This campaign is meant to address the need of our frontliners who continuously provide services to combat the COVID-19 disease. More of our members are extending efforts and we look forward in helping other hospitals too by providing them protective gears and materials,” Alvaro furthered.

Alvaro also shared that aside from CILA, the Michigan-based World Medical Relief Inc. headed by Kapampangan George Samson is also facilitating donations for PPEs and other medical supplies for frontliners and health centers.

Meanwhile, semiconductor industry giants SFA Semicon Philippines and Texas Instruments have also provided PPEs such as bunny suits and face masks to various local hospitals through the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Health and Sanitation Division.

CDC, on the other hand, donated thermal scanners and PPEs including face masks and gloves to various hospitals in Pampanga and Tarlac.

The list of Clark locator-donors also include ETS Products, LSG Industrial Supplies,  Clark Trading Corp., NKD International,  Synergy Polymer Corp., Women of Aleitheia,  SGV & Co. – Clark,  Mirej Hotel  and Cargohaus.

To extend more help for frontliners, CILA is accepting donations in cash or in kind. They can be reached through 0917-325-2452 or email at [email protected].
