ORANI, Bataan — Municipal government of Orani distributed Wednesday 8,600 relief goods to all 29 barangays in view of the implemented Enhanced Community Quarantine.
In a statement, Mayor Efren Dominic Pascual Jr. said the first batch of relief distribution will prioritize families of persons under monitoring and persons under investigation, tricycle drivers, construction workers and other daily wage earners.
“The distribution will be administered by barangay officials and our municipal government provided them a list based on the conducted CBMS [Community-Based Monitoring System], which will serve as their guide for those residents who are mostly in need of relief goods,” he stressed.
Pascual furthered that the municipal government is preparing another batch or relief goods to be distributed in the next following days for more than 15,000 households.
“One of the challenges that every local government unit is facing right now is the limited food suppliers we have due to high demand in the country, which is why there is a delay during the repacking process,” Pascual explained.
The local chief executive asked for patience and vowed to residents that they will continue to provide aid.
