BALANGA CITY (PIA) — The 70-year-old female doctor from Balanga City, who contracted the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19), has recovered Tuesday.
Governor Albert Raymond Garcia said the doctor is among 19 healthcare workers infected by the disease.
“Overall, there are 11 doctors, 4 nurses and 4 health workers [who have COVID-19] in the province,” Garcia disclosed.
The doctor, identified by Department of Health (DOH) as PH1993 F70, was confined in a hospital last March 15 after having fever, colds, cough, sore throat and difficulty in breathing.
Contract tracing revealed that the doctor had home visitors from Manila before experiencing the said symptoms.
Garcia stated that there are now 15 cases of COVID-19 recovery in Bataan.The governor added that the recovered patients will undergo 14 days of mandatory post-discharge quarantine in a DOH-accredited facility.
