Reports have reached the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) that an ambulance bearing a sticker of New Clark City was recently flagged down in a checkpoint where Pampanga police found boxes of liquor.
The said ambulance was a donation made by a private company to the town of Capas in Tarlac where New Clark City is located.
This is a gross violation of the rule imposed by the government under the Enhanced Community Quarantine guidelines, and will not be condoned. Ambulance units, especially in this time of COVID-19 pandemic, should strictly be used for medical emergencies.
We have already reported this matter to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
