TARLAC CITY — GMA Kapuso Foundation, through the assistance of 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3rd Mech), donated medical supplies to a government hospital in Moncada town.
Items received by Enrique Cojuangco Memorial District Hospital include 200 bottles of 500ml alcohol, 3 containers of four-liter alcohol, 200 sets of personal protective equipment, 200 pieces of face shields, 3,000 pairs of non-sterile gloves, 120 bottles of vitamins syrup and 17 boxes of assorted biscuits.
“As our medical frontliners are doing their best to save the victims of COVID-19, your Army will continue to aid individuals, other government agencies and organizations, and all those finding ways to reach out to our health workers,” 3rd Mech Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Norberto Aromin Jr. said.
“Working together as one will lead us to solving this crisis, the very essence of Bayanihan,” Aromin added.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Acting Chief of Hospital Joel Toquero expressed his appreciation to the support and effort of GMA Kapuso Foundation and 3rd Mech.
“Thank you for providing our health workers the protective equipment that they need especially now that cases of COVID-19 patients are continuously increasing,” Toquero said.
