Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine B. Roman has made it again to be included in an international publication.
This time on Tea Uglow’s “Loud and Proud!”
The book is an inspirational collection of speeches from the LGBTQ+ community and its allies that have “changed our world, and the conversation.”
On her Facebook Page post Congresswoman Roman said the issues covered in these speeches touch on all aspects of LGBTQ+ and reflect the diverse and multi-faceted nature of our community.
“It’s my privilege to be featured together with Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama!,” Rep. Roman exclaimed.
She added, “This book is a reminder that we are stronger when we stand together and this collection encourages us to do just that while celebrating the beauty of our differences.”
Its author Tea Uglow, according to Ted.com, is an Australian designer and was part of Google’s Creative Lab specializing in work with cultural organization, artists, writers and producers on experiments using digital technology at the boundaries of traditional cultural practice.
Inquiries from Roman’s followers and fans flooded her Facebook Page on how and where to buy the book. She replied, “It’s available online. I bought it on Amazon.com.”
Way back in 2018, Roman was also featured in Blair Imani’s “Modern Herstory.” The book was an inspiring and radical celebration of 70 women, girls, and gender nonbinary people that tells the important stories of leaders and movements that are changing the world right here and right now and will inspire the readers to do the same.
