TARLAC CITY — Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Tarlac will soon offer skills training on contact tracing and organic agriculture production training.
Contract Tracing Level 2 program competencies include contact identification, profiling of contacts, referrals to health facilities, and other related duties essential for conducting health data gathering.
Concepcion Vocational School (CVS) Vocational Instruction Supervisor Rico Briones said this is in line with the mandate of TESDA to address the current situation.
“These courses were added relative to the Directive of TESDA Director-General Secretary Isidro Lapeña to help in the public health crisis faced by the country,” Briones said.
CVS, being a TESDA school and an agricultural school, will offer both programs.
According to Briones, preparations for the two courses are now ongoing.
“Our Regional Lead Trainer for Barangay Health Services is attending necessary coordination meetings and seminars for the opening of these programs,” he said.
Currently, CVS has ongoing trainings including the Agricultural Crops Production for Pacquillao Aeta Native Abelling Indigenous Peoples group in barangay Care, Tarlac City.
Briones also noted that various programs ranging from agricultural, electronics, and cookery related programs are offered with allowances.
“Our scholars receive PhP 5,000 worth of instructional materials, PhP 160 daily living allowance, PhP 500 internet allowance, and PhP 500 personal protective equipment allowance,” he said.
“Also, free training supplies, free assessment, free workshop uniform, and free accident insurance,” he added.
