BALANGA CITY, Bataan – This province has recorded 42 new recoveries, including four children, from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing to 1,899 the total number of patients who have beaten the disease.
Governor Albert Garcia said on Monday that three of the newly-recovered children are from Orion – an 11-month-old boy, five-year-old boy and two-year-old girl, while the other one, a three-year-old boy, is from Mariveles.
Meanwhile, two infants and five other children are among the 41 new confirmed Covid-19 cases for a total tally of 2,401, out of which 460 are on active status.
The new cases are 15 each from Mariveles and Orion, five from Morong, four from Balanga City and one each from Dinalupihan and Orani.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus death toll in the province is 42.The Provincial Health Office (PHO) said 22,348 people have already taken Covid-19 tests out of which 19,598 tested negative and 349 are still waiting for results. (PNA)
