54-bed MGCI-UNTV health facility in Bulacan opens

CITY OF MALOLOS- Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando had opened the modern and isolation facility initiated of the Members Church of God International (MGCI-UNTV) Health Facility at the MAB Building, in Barangay Tikay here on Monday morning to support the government in the fight against COVID-19.   

“Salamat sa pakikipagtulungan, napakahalaga po nito dahil kulang talaga. Matagal ang 14 days ako nga nainip eh. Lumabas ang anxiety may panahong nade-depress kaya maganda itong facility na ‘to, hi-tech, parang hotel, malalabanan mo ‘yung inip, ‘di ka pa makakahawa sa inyo, safe ang pamilya mo habang kumportable kang nagpapagaling,” Fernando said.

Likewise, Mayor Gilbert Gatchalian echoed the views of Fernando saying “we are blessed for having concerned citizens” in the fight against the pandemic. The isolation facility was initiated by Brother Eliseo Soriano and Daniel Razon.

Dr. Raymund D. Pesebre said the 54-bed capacity project which will be funded by the church and its members will serve the people for free.

“Ito po ay equipped with CCTV with monitor each room, may intercom, internet at sariling CR. All will be provided for sa mga dito magku-quarantine and we have nurses and in-house doctors, 24 hours,” Pesebre said.

Dr. Emily Paulino, representative of Dr. Cesar C. Cassion, regional director of Department of Health-RO3, said this is the first facility that is run by an NGO.

“With 3.6 population of Bulacan we need 1,140 beds or one facility per 25,000 population kaya nagpapasalamat tayo sa MGCI, and we encourage them na magpa-accredit sa PhilHealth para kahit papaano may babalik sa kanila to sustain the facility,” Paulino said.
