CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — About 59 budding agripreneurs in Central Luzon currently take part in the Kapatid Agri Mentor Me Program (KAMMP).
A collaboration of Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) and Go Negosyo, the seven-week training is being conducted to provide a platform for potential agri-preneurs to learn and be inspired by the entrepreneurial journey of the mentors online.
“ATI has always been very supportive in any way we can. As long as we have resources, we don’t hesitate to provide all the assistance, that’s why when KAMMP got in touch with us, we saw the relevance of what’s going to happen. We [ATI] are not just after the production but we need to go beyond production as well,” ATI Deputy Director Rosana Mula said.
For her part, ATI-CL Center Director Veronica Concepcion Esguerra said this training is one step higher from the Climate-Resilient Farm Business School.
“I hope that each one of you will enjoy and learn from this program,” she added.
KAMMP aims to nurture and sustain agri-business in the country through Mentorship. Industry practitioners serve as mentors that provide guidance and assistance to agricultural cooperatives or associations, and Agri enterprises by sharing learnings from their experiences.
With the COVID-19 upending lives and businesses all over the world, KAMMP becomes more relevant and necessary albeit in a virtual or digitized form.
Therefore, the KAMMP Online is developed as the practical delivery mechanism for the same mentorship modules to be utilized to propel agri-preneurs to survive and flourish in spite of the unprecedented setbacks.
