Outgoing 3rd Mech head to troopers: Continue serving the people

SAN JOSE, Tarlac — Outgoing Commander of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3rd Mech) urged the troopers to continue their service to the people and the pursuit of noble causes. 

“As I relinquish command, I hope that every Makatarungan trooper will continue to be united, and believe in each other as one cohesive force that can make a difference in the lives of the people of Tarlac, Zambales, and part of Pampaga,” Outgoing 3rd Mech Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Norberto Aromin Jr. said. 

In his farewell speech, Aromin also expressed his gratitude to the people who became instrumental in his personal and professional development. 

“I would like to thank those precious people who sat down with me and gave me honest, hard and critical feedback. Those hard discussions have been a game changer in my professional growth. For all of you who helped me get to where I am today, the only thing I can offer you in return is more hard work,” he stressed. 

Moreover, the outgoing commander thanked the people who provided support, guidance and motivation to the operations and noble endeavors of 3rd Mech for the people in its area of responsibility. 

Among Aromin’s highlights of accomplishments as a battalion commander include the peace building forums which led to the withdrawal of support of 387 Alyansang Magbubukid ng Asyenda Luisita members to the left leaning groups. 

Also, the conduct of Youth Leadership Summits, augmentation of 3rd Mech to its partner stakeholders and government agencies in the fight against COVID-19; the conduct of complementary armor operations in support to the 7th Infantry Division; and other sustainable and proactive activities to realize a long and lasting peace in Tarlac and Zambales. 

In terms of logistics, Aromin paved the way for the construction and renovation of camp facilities, and the maintenance of all armored and admin vehicles of the army unit to attain a high degree of operational readiness.

He also focused in the development of career and warfighting skills of the troops by providing specialization courses, training and seminars.
