The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines or NGCP, in partnership with Bataan LGU and other government agencies, is giving former drug dependents a new lease on life through the company’s Bukas na Pintuan Tungo sa Pagbabago Program.
The program started in 2017 by setting TESDA training camps to former drug dependents looking to turn their lives around.
“We wanted to address the reformation and need for employment of former drug dependents”, NGCP said in press statement.
From 2017 to 2020, a total of 1,417 reformists enrolled in the agency’s program from the Bataan towns namely Dinalupihan, Orion, Hermosa, and Balanga.
“We thank all our partner stakeholders for helping us realize the fruits of this endeavor”, NGCP said.
