Department of Public Works and Highways completed four multipurpose covered courts for various barangays in the municipalities of Moncada, Paniqui and Camiling in Tarlac.
Implemented by Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office (DEO), each facility costs P4.8 million.
District Engineer Neil Farala said they are located in Sta. Maria in Camiling; San Juan De Milla in Paniqui; and San Julian and Lapsing in Moncada.
The projects were completed ahead of schedule and have already been turned over to the beneficiary barangays.
Construction of these facilities aims to promote social and community engagement as it can serve as venues for various social events and other important public gatherings.
Farala appreciated the efforts of the DEO’s technical team in ensuring there were no delays in project completion.
“This is a proof of their commitment in improving the lives of our stakeholders through quality infrastructure,” he added.
