DAR distributes CLOAs to farmers in Tarlac

TARLAC CITY — A total of 124 agrarian-reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from the province of Tarlac received their Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) from Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). 

DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III led the distribution of 49.227 hectares of agricultural lands from seven municipalities and one city. 

Beneficiaries were composed of 37 farmers from Concepcion; 36 from Mayantoc; 19 from Capas; 16 from Paniqui; seven from San Jose; four from Victoria; three from Pura; and one each from Anao and Tarlac City. 

Estrella emphasized that aside from land distribution, DAR eyes to provide farmers additional income by handing-over livestock. 

“We need to give our farmers another opportunity to increase their earnings for them to support the needs of their families,” he said. 

Additionally, the cabinet official mentioned the courses and scholarships offered by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and other institutions to upgrade their farming skills. 

Estrella reminded the farmer-beneficiaries not to sell or pawn, and cherish the lands that they received from the government. 

Apart from the CLOA distribution, DAR likewise awarded Certificates of Completion to 32 farmers for finishing 25 sessions of Farm Business School Modules and Lessons.
