DoT workshop on proposed accreditation

The Department of Tourism (DoT) will review the current DOT Accreditation System proposing a multi-level recognition system for primary tourism enterprises.

The DoT sought to re-invent the accreditation process and standards “to make it more inclusive and to further enhance its value,” according to DoT Regional Director Ronaldo P. Tiotuico.

“We are inviting top management of tourism – related establishments (accommodation facilities, travel agencies, resorts, tourist transport operators, sports and recreational facilities, among others) to attend the consultation workshop,” Tiotuico said.

The workshop will be held on February 23-24, 2017, 9am to 5pm, Diamond Spring Hotel, MacArthur Hwy., Balibago, Angeles City.

“We hope to hear the invaluable insights (of stakeholders) on the proposed accreditation system as to how it would better meet the industry expectations,” said Tiotuico.

Participants may contact accreditation officer Mr. Alvin delos Reyes at 0922-378-2423 or email at [email protected].
