Teenager drowns in Bulacan river

A 14-year-old boy on Thursday drowned while swimming in a river in Sta. Maria , Bulacan.

The Sta. Maria police identified the victim as  Raymart Antid, a student residing at B9 L4, Harmony Hills 3, Bgy Loma De Gato, Marilao, Bulacan.

Police were told the victim and his two other minor friends decided to swim at the Santa Maria river.

However, the victim  accidentally went into the deep part of the river causing him to drown.  

They reported the incident to the officers of Barangay  San Jose Patag, who sought the assistance of the Santa Maria rescue team and  the Santa Maria police and the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office  to rescue the victim but to no avail.

The boy’s body was later found and was immediately brought to the local funeral home in  Barangay Loma de Gato, Marilao, Bulacan.
