A school principal was shot by a riding in tandem in front of the school gate in Bgy. Sto. Tomas North, Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
The Jaen police identified the victim as Reden Marquez, 49, of Bgy. Niyugan, Jaen, and principal of Sto. Tomas North Elementary School.
Police said two men riding a blue motorcycle wearing black helmets and jackets, approached the victim’s SUV with plate no. CAF 8643 that stopped in front of the school. Marquez was about to alight from the SUV when the backrider shot him several times before they sped off towards Sto. Tomas South.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Nueva Ecija Medical Center. It was not immediately known if he survived the attempt on his life.
Police are now investigating the identities of the suspects and the motive behind the gun attack.
