Chinese father, Filipino son yield over P3.4M shabu in Bulacan sting

MALOLOS CITY, BULACAN — A Chinese national and his Filipino son on Tuesday were arrested after some  P3,450,000 worth of shabu was seized from them in a  buy-bus operation in Pleasant Village, Barangay San Pablo this city.

The suspects were identified as Anthony Chua and his 34-year-old son Jay Vie Cai, both residents of Lot 5, Block 2, Phase 2, Pleasant Village San Pablo, Malolos City, Bulacan.

Recovered from the suspects were one plastic bag containing more or less 500 grams of shabu worth at least P3,450,000 and the marked money.

The operation, conducted by operatives of PDEA Tarlac Provincial Office, was a product of a month-long surveillance.

The two suspects will be charged with violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to section 26B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165.
