Sen. Lito Lapid took the floor Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to sponsor a proposed measure that seeks to declare the province of Pampanga as the country’s culinary capital.
According to Lapid, Senate Bill No. (SBN) 2806, introduced by Sen. Loren Legarda, will recognize Pampanga as the “Culinary Capital of the Philippines” in honor of its contribution to the country’s rich culinary history.
Lapid highlighted that Pampanga is not just known for its delicious food, but also for the resilience, resourcefulness, and creativity of the Kapampangans.
“Kaya naman po buong puso kaming humihingi ng tulong sa ating mga senador na pagbigyan ang lalawigan ng Pampanga at bansagan bilang culinary capital of the Philippines,” Lapid added.
