Philippines: The next music capital of the world – GKD labels

In a bold declaration that could reshape the global music landscape, Joshua Adam Stephany, CEO & Founder of GKD Labels, proclaimed that the Philippines is poised to become the next Music Capital of the World. This announcement came during the media launch of Finding Finix, a groundbreaking reality show in partnership with CLTV36, set to unearth the next big P-Pop girl group.

The highly anticipated show will follow 22 gifted trainees from across the Philippines and beyond, competing in high-stakes challenges designed to highlight their vocal, dance, and performance skills. Chosen from thousands of hopefuls, the contestants hail from diverse locations, including Canada and the United States, showcasing the global appeal of P-Pop.

More than just a competition, Finding Finix offers an immersive experience, where viewers can witness the grueling training, emotional highs and lows, and electrifying performances as the contestants evolve into world-class performers.

The media launch was also attended by CLTV36’s stalwarts and key decision makers, including Sonio Soto and Billy San Juan, who added their expertise to the event. During the proceedings, host JM De Jesus kicked off the event, welcoming guests and sponsors while introducing the panelists. Mark William Canlas, TV Station Manager of CLTV36, expressed his excitement about the show’s potential to unearth exceptional talent, while Stephany discussed GKD Labels’ pivotal role in mentoring and guiding the contestants. Jhoedie Bhyjay Mercado, Programs and Special Coverages Head at CLTV36, shared insights into the show’s content, and Analiza Pulido, COO of GKD Labels, emphasized the agency’s commitment to nurturing Filipino talent. Pulido also lightheartedly remarked that Filipinos are “born with microphones,” a nod to their innate musicality.

Finding Finix is set to premiere on December 6, 2024, airing every Friday exclusively on CLTV36. It will also be available for streaming on Cignal 115, CLTV36’s YouTube channel, Facebook page, and through partner cable providers.

With the show’s launch, P-Pop is set to take a giant leap forward, positioning Filipino talent on the global stage alongside K-pop groups. “We’re thrilled to take this mission to the next level with Finding Finix,” Canlas said.
