SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The City Government of San Fernando marked the start of February and the first week of its “Kaganapan” 2025 celebration with a grand motorcade promoting road safety.
Led by the City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office and the City Mayor’s Office-Community Affairs Division, the event gathered participants from government agencies, private organizations, and academic institutions. Vehicles traveled a 34.4-kilometer route across San Fernando, starting from Heroes Hall and passing through McArthur Highway and various barangays before ending in San Isidro.
With the theme “Ride Safe, Save Lives,” the motorcade was among the first activities in this year’s cityhood anniversary celebration. Organizers highlighted the importance of responsible driving and road safety awareness.
Kaganapan 2025 Co-Chairperson Col. Ernesto Dumas, speaking on behalf of Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag and Acting City Administrator Engr. Michael Quizon Jr., commended the initiative for its dual purpose: promoting road safety and boosting engagement in the city’s charter anniversary events.
The city government assured that more activities are lined up for the Kaganapan 2025 celebration, which honors San Fernando’s cityhood and its commitment to progress and community development.
