651 bedridden residents in Pampanga receive aid

PAMPANGA— A total of 651 bedridden individuals from the second district of Pampanga received much-needed assistance from the provincial government, including cash incentives and nutritional support. Each beneficiary was provided with two packs of 2kg milk and a cash aid of PHP 2,000 to help cover essential needs such as food and medical supplies.

The initiative was led by 2nd District Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon, Sajid Khan Eusoof, Atty. Claire Lim, and SK Federation President John Carlo Cruz, along with personnel from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), under the directive of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda.

One of the beneficiaries, Editha, expressed her gratitude, stating that the milk and financial aid were a lifeline for her bedridden brother-in-law, who has been unable to fend for himself for the past four years. “This will help us buy the essentials he needs, especially diapers,” she shared.

According to the PSWDO, the provincial government supports 2,230 bedridden senior citizens across Pampanga through Ordinance No. 647, also known as the Senior Citizens Code, ensuring regular aid and welfare programs for the elderly in need.
