CABANATUAN CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two educational facilities in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.

The agency built both structures as single-story buildings with two classrooms each, making them ready for use by the students and faculty of Pantabangan National High School in Barangay Villarica and Pantabangan West Central School in Barangay West Poblacion.

DPWH Nueva Ecija 1st OIC-District Engineer Jun Vana said the projects include corridors, reinforced concrete gutters, handwashing areas, ramps with handrails for persons with disabilities, window grilles, parapet walls, and comfort rooms, each with a floor area of 234 square meters.

“The purpose of these school buildings is to address classroom shortages and provide essential amenities for students and teachers, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and conducive environment for learning and teaching,” he emphasized.

Funded in convergence with the Department of Education at a total cost of P9.9 million, the new facilities will help alleviate overcrowding, enhance safety and accessibility, and improve hygiene for students, including those with disabilities. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Nueva Ecija)
