ANGELES CITY, Philippines – In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Angeles City government will provide free medical services, including pap smears, breast examinations, and HIV testing, on Thursday, March 6.
The initiative, led by the Gender Development Office and City Health Office, will be conducted in six Rural Health Units (RHUs) across the city. Women from designated barangays are encouraged to visit their assigned RHU for their medical needs.
The participating RHUs and their covered barangays include: RHU I (Sto. Domingo, San Jose, San Nicolas, Lourdes Sur, Sto. Rosario, Pulungbulu), RHU II (Cutcut, Lourdes Northwest, Pampang, Cuayan, Sta. Trinidad, Anunas), RHU III (Lourdes Sur East, Agapito Del Rosario, Claro M. Recto, Malabanias, Virgen Delos Remedios, Sta. Teresita), RHU IV (Balibago, Margot, Sapangbato, Amsic), and RHU V (Pulung Cacutud, Pulung Maragul, Cutud, Sapalibutad).
Only the first 100 women to register at each RHU will be eligible for the free services. Local officials urged residents to take advantage of the program as part of the city’s efforts to promote women’s health and well-being.
