BOC, Australia boost border security ties

To reinforce border security and ramp up enforcement efforts, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Intelligence Group, led by Deputy Commissioner Juvymax R. Uy, held high-level discussions with the Australian Border Force and the Australian Federal Police on March 4, 2025.

The meeting tackled enforcement strategies, intelligence-sharing, and best practices in seizure operations. Officials also discussed closer coordination with law enforcement agencies and international partners to curb illicit trade and strengthen border controls.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sustained cooperation in tackling transnational crimes and securing trade channels. Under the leadership of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, BOC continues to expand international partnerships in its crackdown on illegal trade activities.
