A Sleigh of Merriment Unfolds in SM City Tarlac

The ceremonial lighting of the magnificent Christmas display signals the #SparklingSMallidays at SM City Tarlac on November 10, 2019 which is open for viewing and photo until January 5, 2019.

With the theme “Christmas Herd”, this year’s centerpiece of superworld of lights and magic is indeed a wonderful ride on the sleigh of merriment. With a height of 32ft. surrounded with sparkling gold reindeers, christmas ornaments, gift accents, it is not only an extravagant display, but also a blissful experience. It also features a tunnel of lights in the middle where shoppers may take instagrammable shots. Truly, it captures the heart not only the young generation, but also the kids at heart.

The Little Steps Ballet School Dancers set the mood and gave a total celebratory atmosphere for the evening’s sparkling celebration. The event was graced by Vice Governor Atty. Carlito “Casada” David, Mr. Arvin Chua from Provincial Tourism Office, and City Tourism Council Chairman Mr. Ton Sicangco.

No other than the Father Christmas, Santa Claus, who is said to bring gifts to the homes of well-behaved children on Christmas Eve and the early morning hours of Christmas Day, joined the Christmas Launch.  Along with him to make the celebration even more exciting are special guests Ms. Reese Tayag, a beauty vlogger, youtuber and social media influencer, together with the rest of RFAM, Mr. Ryan and Rance Regua.

Speaking of gifts, Mr. Cesar P. Bondoc, Regional Operations Manager of North 3, encourage shoppers to share their blessing by purchasing SM Bears of Joy where they could keep one and the other to be donated to the mall’s chosen charity.

For audience Christmas treat, San Pedro Chorale sang melodious Christmas Carols. San Pedro Chorale is a church choir in San Sebastian Cathedral Parish, Tarlac City. They celebrated and supported choral activities and they’ve also won several awards. Recently, the group won their first international award in August.

There was also an extravagant lightshow that majestically lit up the sky at 8pm at the East Parking Drive of SM City Tarlac.

Yuletide season is finally here and everyone welcomes it to their homes. Filipinos are known for having the longest Christmas celebration in the entire world that truly showcases our love for festivities and inedible seal of religiosity making us one of a kind.
