Balanga, Bataan — AboitizPower through its subsidiaries GNPower Mariveles Energy Center (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin (GNPD), together with the Provincial Government of Bataan, has signed a five-year memorandum of agreement to provide scholarships for students pursuing Engineering courses . The ceremonial signing was held on April 25, 2025 at The Bunker, Capitol Compound, Balanga City.
Under the agreement, a total of Php10 million over five years or Php2 million per year starting this April will provide by the AboitizPower. The funds will be allocated to students of Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU)-Main Campus and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)-Mariveles.

The said initiative is part of the province’s expanding Iskolar ng Bataan program, which aims to provide opportunities for deserving students to graduate from college. This new financial assistance is focused on Engineering courses that are essential for the development of infrastructure and technology in Bataan.
The MOA signing was attended by AboitizPower officials led by President and CEO Danel Aboitiz, along with COO Celso “C3” Caballero, TBG-NL CEO Ronaldo Ramos, and other company officials and for the Bataan Provincial Government headed Bataan Governor Joet Garcia, Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion, and representatives from BPSU and PUP-Mariveles.
