AC anti-dengue task force conducts fumigation in city gov’t offices

ANGELES CITY — The city government under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on January 17, 2025 conducted simultaneous fumigation activities in all city government offices, with the aim to protect employees and city hall goers from dengue.

Mayor Lazatin instructed the Angeles City anti-dengue task force, formed from the City Health Office Sanitation Division and Angeles City Barangay Outreach, to lead the simultaneous fogging activities in city hall building, and off-site offices in Pampang Public Market, Angeles City Reproductive Health and Wellness Center, and Angeles City Slaughterhouse.

“Kailangang matiyak na ligtas ang mga kawani ng gobyerno at mga pumupunta sa ating mga opisina laban sa dengue,” Mayor Lazatin said.

Meanwhile, the Angeles City anti-dengue task force is also set to fumigate the city’s 55 public schools ordered by Mayor Lazatin.

According to Lazatin, this move aims to lessen or even eliminate the risk of dengue cases to public school students, and teachers.

Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel supervised the said operation together with Angeles City Economic Development Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) Chief Irish Bonus-Llego.

To recall, fumigation is among of the priorities of Mayor Lazatin to prevent the spread of dengue in Angeles City since he took office in 2019.

Before the start of the academic year 2024-2025, Mayor Lazatin also ordered the fumigation in all public schools in the city to protect students and teachers against dengue.
