AC gives ₱10-K livelihood aid to 17 indigent women

ANGELES CITY — The city government here under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has distributed ₱10,000 livelihood assistance to 17 indigent women from Barangay Margot on Sept. 22, 2022. 

“We want to ensure that there is an alternative yet sustainable source for our kababayans, especially those engaged in start-up or small businesses,” Lazatin said.  

According to City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso, the said assistance is the initiative of the Lazatin administration to sustain their income-generating livelihood. 

She mentioned that this started with just ₱3,000 livelihood assistance, until they evaluated that each business managed by the women was growing. 

“They are doing good in their businesses, kaya naman po the city government led by Mayor Lazatin, want to further ensure the security of their livelihood by giving them triple of the assistance we gave them for their livelihood,” Duaso said. 

Part of the flagship program of Mayor Lazatin is to provide livelihood assistance to Angeleños particularly the indigents.

Since he took office in 2019, various kabuhayan assistance were given to indigent resident-beneficiaries. 

Also present during the distribution are Duaso, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and Councilor Jesus Sangil.
