ANGELES CITY – Police Colonel Narvin Mangune of the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) was one of the 10 individual awardees honored during the 118th Police Service Anniversary over the week, received the Best Senior PCO for Administration.
Apart from this, ACPO was hailed as Best City Police Office in the region.
The event, with the theme “Pinaghusay na Serbisyo, Alay sa Sambayanang Pilipino,” was held at the PRO-3 Parade Grounds, Camp Olivas in the City of San Fernando last Friday, August 28.
It was personally graced by Philippine National Police Chief General Oscar Albayalde, PRO3 Regional Director Police Brigadier Gen. Joel Napoleon M. Coronel, and the Command Group.
Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. commended the anti-crime efforts of ACPO.
“Angeles City has one of the lowest crime rates in the region, and I give that credit to you. I give my word that this administration shall continue to strengthen our force so that we can prevent crime and preserve peace more effectively,” he said.
The Mayor also cited the ACPO for their passion in keeping things in order while working hand-in-hand with the citizens; their active role in implementing the laws of the country; and dedication to contribute further to the city’s vision.
“Without you, we cannot achieve our goals for peace and order and I promise the Angeles City Police Office that we will do our part,” he mentioned.
Other individual awardees include PCOL Jean S. Fajardo for Best Senior PCO for Operations; PTCOL Nixon M. Cayaban for Best Junior PCO for Operations; PTCOL Alexie A. Desamito for Best Junior PCO for Operations; PCMS Rosevelt T. Galang for Best Senior PNCO for Administration; PSMS Gilbert C. Tadeo for Best Senior PNCO for Operations; PSSg Reynald D. Parentela for Best Junior PNCO for Administration; PSSg Mhark Anthony R. Iral for Best Junior PNCO for Operations; NUP Arnold C. Adriosula for Best Non-Uniformed Personnel (Supervisory Level); and NUP Armelin G. Saroca for Best Non-Uniformed Personnel.
Meanwhile, some seven units in the region also received their respective awards.
For his part, Albayalde said: “With the positive gains we have in achieving in our campaign for peace and order these past few years, we indeed have reasons to celebrate.”
“Today, let us make the 118th Police Service Anniversary celebration even more meaningful by reaffirming our commitment to our police ideals, service, honor and justice and by assuring our countrymen of better law enforcement and police service,” he added.
