ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. has ordered the suspension of work in the city government on Tuesday, December 3, due to the threat of typhoon Tisoy.
However, the frontline offices for the delivery of basic and health services; preparedness and response to disasters and calamities; and the performance of other vital services will continue their operations, he said.
Moreover, classes in the City were suspended from Dec. 2 to 6 in celebration of the South East Asian Games 2019.
“The safety of our constituents is our priority, since typhoon Tisoy has already made its landfall over Sorsogon,” he added.
According to the reports of Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO), Tisoy will pass through Manila and will bring strong winds and heavy rains.
“We will not compromise the safety of our constituents. Better be safe,” he mentioned.
According to the Mayor, the City is ready in times of disasters, especially that there are SEA Games 2019 athletes, participants, and guests in the area.
“Let us continue to pray for everyone’s safety, particularly those places are already affected by the typhoon,” he said.
