Angeles City established an interagency body focused on the delivery of services and interventions for the out of school youth.
The Angeles City Youth Development Alliance (ACYDA) for Out-of-Youth seeks to boost the social and economic development of the city through guiding out of school youth into education and employment.
ACYDA is expected to cooperate with private companies and organizations for the training and employment of OSYs, the creation of annual labor market assessments for prospects on opportunities, and granting access to private and government-led innovative programs.
ACYDA is created to serve the youth for the realization of the city’s development—a steadfast way to improve the lives of Angeleños in trying circumstances. It will cater to the youth, namely individuals aged 15 to 30 years old.
The programs will handled by the Full Alliance Committee, chaired by the Mayor and the Chairman and Vice-Chairman on Youth; Secretariat Committee that leads communication between FAC; Education and Technical Skills Committee, which focuses on the readiness of training ground for OSs and is led by the Schools Division Office of Angeles and TESDA Pampanga; and Youth Development Committee, which specializes in improving the environment for OSY.
Beneficiaries will be screened through Youth Pathways Profile Form (YPP Form), which identifies the appropriate intervention for applying individuals. — Samantha G. Gutierrez
