
Mariveles, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) earned a Silver Award from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) after receiving a “Very Satisfactory” rating in the 2024 Report Card Survey (RCS) 2.0.
The award was presented on 23 October 2025 at Conrad Manila, recognizing agencies with strong compliance to the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law and efficient public service delivery.

AFAB’s Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART) Chairperson and Deputy Administrator for Support Services Malou L. Herrera, Deputy Administrator for Operations Atty. Michael Angelo G. Paderanga, and Head Executive Assistant Maria Loretta R. Quicho accepted the award on behalf of the agency.
The recognition reflects the collective effort of the CART, its Secretariat, and all AFAB departments. AFAB was among 904 agencies evaluated in the survey, which rates the quality, speed, and accessibility of government services.
The Silver Award underscores AFAB’s commitment to streamlining transactions and enhancing public service.
