Mariveles, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), through its Human Resource Division, successfully conducted a two-day training entitled “Project Smile: Service Starts With Me – Everyday Friendliness, Even on a Bad Day.” The program was participated in by AFAB employees from various departments, reflecting the agency’s continuing commitment to professionalism, communication, and service excellence.

The training highlighted AFAB’s dedication to nurturing a service-driven workforce by emphasizing professionalism and composure even under pressure, while providing employees with tools to strengthen communication and customer relations. It also introduced the RATER Model, which focuses on Reliability, Assurance, Tangibles, Empathy, and Responsiveness, alongside the practice of effective listening, questioning, and response techniques in daily interactions.

Through this initiative, AFAB further affirms its commitment to investing in the growth of its people while ensuring the consistent delivery of excellent public service. Project Smile embodies the agency’s belief that every employee reflects AFAB’s values and that professionalism, consistency, and service-oriented behavior are essential in building trust and satisfaction among clients and stakeholders.
