SANTA RITA, Pampanga — Officials from the Philippine Air Force’s 5th Fighter Wing paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Reynan S. Calo to bolster coordination efforts between the military unit and the local government.
Col. Rex D. Templonuevo, Deputy Wing Commander, and Maj. Philip Vincent Roy R. Freire, Assistant Chief Wing Safety Officer, met with the mayor to discuss ongoing collaboration, particularly regarding the formulation of a local resolution in support of drone operations within Santa Rita’s airspace.
The local government expressed its support for safety and regulatory measures, reaffirming its willingness to work closely with national defense partners in ensuring secure and well-regulated aerial operations.
The visit reflects continued efforts to align local policies with evolving defense and technological needs while maintaining public safety and inter-agency coordination.
