Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, the 11-member Senate slate endorsed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., is set to hold a string of rallies across Pampanga on April 23, in a bid to shore up support in one of the country’s most vote-rich provinces.
The administration-backed coalition will stage four major events in Angeles City and San Fernando, with each rally hosted by prominent Kapampangan leaders. Pampanga has 1.67 million registered voters and has historically backed Marcos-aligned candidates — the President garnered over 735,000 votes here in 2022.
“This is a game-changer,” said campaign manager and Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco. “Kapampangans want leaders who deliver, not just make noise.”
The slate includes a mix of returning senators and political veterans: Benhur Abalos, Abby Binay, Bong Revilla, Pia Cayetano, Ping Lacson, Lito Lapid, Manny Pacquiao, Tito Sotto, Francis Tolentino, Erwin Tulfo, and Camille Villar.
Lapid, a former Pampanga governor and longtime senator, is expected to draw large crowds in his home province.
In Angeles City, Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II and Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. will welcome the team at the Sen. Lito Lapid Arena Sports Complex.
San Fernando will host two events: one at the Laus Events Center with Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Lubao Mayor Esmie Pineda, and another at the Kingsborough International Convention Center with Rep. Anna York Bondoc-Sagum and several local mayors.
The day wraps up with a province-wide unity rally at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, where all provincial officials are expected to show support for the slate.
Tiangco emphasized that Alyansa’s visit is more than a campaign pitstop. “We’re here to work with Pampanga — to push for jobs, infrastructure, and a Senate that delivers real change.”
